Uneventful Records cordially invites you to a concert observing the 85th birthday of iconic cellist Saša Večtomov (1930-'89), on Sunday, December 13th, 11am, at Kostel sv. Vavřince, Hellichova 18, Prague. Erstwhile pupils M. Škampa,
M. Fukačová, J. Vlašánková, M. Hixová, M. Koláčková, M. Jerie, E. Rattay, M. Petráš, B. Pavlas, and J. Páleníček will perform, accompanied by pianists I. Klánský, V. Langerová, J. Čechová, H. Dvořáková, H. Louženská, and J. Škampa. Door admission, 150Kč, will be entirely donated to Domov sv. Rodiny, a home for mental patients.
Concomitantly, Uneventful is launching Archive Recordings, the first new album in 35 years from Prague String Duo (Saša and his brother Vladimír, who passed away in October). On his deathbed, barely able to speak, Vladimír Večtomov importuned Uneventful to release this album in time for the concert and, moreover, to include a recently unearthed recording of Sonata in G minor by H. Eccles.
